A litter of five kittens was born under my apartment to the neighborhood diluted tortie stray (she has since been rescued and spayed! We're trying to get the rest of the colony too.) I was trying to work with a local rescue organization and get them seen when people just started picking up kittens from the litter. They hung out on my porch and in the shrubs.

Two were left behind living on my porch. and after a couple days without mama cat coming back, I decided to bring them in because of freezing weather in November. Got their first vet visit two weeks later. So the pictures you see are how it started outside and how it's going now living fat and happy. -

Luke, the void who bears a close resemblance to the neighborhood stud who impregnates all the ladies, got neutered last month. Leia, the tortie, gets spayed next week. Sadly, that black stray cat is not around often enough to capture him; we've tried many times to capture him to get him neutered but he's smart as heck. Any

time we try to capture him, he'll avoid the area for about a month. I'm thankful for the two cute kittens he gave me. They will be seven months old next Friday.

The kittens join two nearly 14 year old seniors, Penguin and Flame. And there's the kitten supervisor, 4.5 year- old ginger girl (Ahsoka), who adopted me in January 2021 when she yelled at me from a shrub when I got home from the grocery store (with dawn dish soap so I was able to de-flea her to keep her inside, thanks CDS!) Bonus pictures of them included.

theamethystlotus 12h ago I love that you named them Luke & Leia! My bonded sibling pair were going to be Skywalker and General Leia Organa. However, there was some confusion the first day over the sex of my boy, so he was named Leia for 24hrs, and his sister, Luna. But by the next day, I could see he had tiny trouble puffs! So, I changed his name to Skywalker. Luna's name fit her, so I kept her name the same.
